Founders Story

Amidst the chill of a January morning in a University of Michigan cafeteria, we met as part of our shared involvement in a global health project team, M-HEAL. Little did we know that this chance encounter would ignite a journey of innovation.

As leaders of the prototyping team tasked with designing a low-cost infant incubator, we faced a daunting challenge that became even more urgent during a trip to Kenya. There, we saw hospitals struggling with broken incubators, unable to afford repairs, and using desperate measures like overcrowding incubators, risking infections and further complications.

When deploying our prototype to hospitals in Kenya, the response was overwhelming. Doctors saw its potential to save lives immediately. This moment crystallized our resolve: it was time to evolve from an engineering project into a mission-driven company.

And so, NeoNest was born—a company dedicated to producing non-electric, affordable infant incubators that could empower hospitals worldwide. Today, NeoNest continues to grow, driven by the belief that every newborn deserves a fighting chance, regardless of where they are born.
